Type of Feat: General
Prerequisite: None. All characters may use Throw.
Specifics: Throw an item from your inventory at a target location or creature.
Check: Select the Throw ability, choose an item from your inventory, and select a target location or creature within range.
Effect: The item is thrown to the target location. The result depends on the type of item thrown.
- Splash weapons (such as acid flasks or alchemist's fire) deal their normal splash damage.
- Thrown objects such as rocks deal bludgeoning damage or might simply make a noise.
- Magical items trigger their effects normally if they activate on impact.
Failure: If the attack roll misses the intended target, the item lands nearby and its effects occur at the new location.
Range: Thrown items have a short range and are less accurate at distance.
Special: Throwing an item counts as an improvised ranged attack. Some items may break or be consumed on impact.
