====== Intimidate ====== **Ability:** Charisma\\ **Requires Training:** No\\ \\ Intimidate represents a character's ability to influence others through fear, threats, or coercion. Skilled characters can bully, coerce, or provoke targets into backing down, revealing information, or making mistakes in combat. Intimidate can also be used to taunt enemies, distracting them and causing temporary penalties to their defense or spellcasting.\\ \\ **Uses:**\\ **- Coercion:** The character may use Intimidate to force a target to comply, reveal information, or alter behavior.\\ **- Taunt:** The character may provoke an opponent in combat, causing an armor class penalty up to -6 and a 30% chance of spell failure for 5 rounds. Taunt is considered an attack and is opposed by the target's concentration or Will check. Penalties from multiple taunts do not stack.\\ **- Social Influence:** Intimidate can replace other social checks when fear or threat is appropriate.\\ \\ **Check:**\\ - The DC is opposed by the target's Will or concentration, modified by the target's disposition, size, and circumstances. Success results in compliance, fear, or combat penalties depending on the use.\\ \\ **Conversation:** Typically used during dialogue or encounters with NPCs, but can also be applied against opposing players with consent. Taunt is used as a special action targeting a single creature in combat.
